Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor Med-Surg patients, using clinical judgment to prioritize care
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans that improve outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate efficient patient care
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses clearly and timely
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns per unit protocol

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — active and in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience (as listed in the job posting)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS/other certs a plus where applicable
• Comfortable with IV medications, patient assessments, and clinical documentation
• Strong communication skills and a team-centered approach to patient care

• Solid Med-Surg clinical assessment and prioritization skills
• Medication administration and safety best practices
• Effective electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Patient/family education and discharge planning
• Team collaboration and clear communication under pressure
• Time management across a full patient assignment
