Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to telemetry patients, ensuring safety and best practices
• Maintain professional nursing standards through accurate documentation and vigilant assessment
• Supervise and coordinate CNA/SNA or other assigned healthcare workers to support patient care
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to abnormalities
• Manage cardiac drips and post-surgical patient needs with clinical confidence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience (required)
• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
• BLS (AHA) current
• ACLS (AHA) current
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Current IL Nurse Agency Certificate documentation (traveler submission must include copy)
• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (required)
• Experience reading monitors, managing cardiac drips, and caring for post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Comfort supervising CNAs and coordinating with certified monitor techs

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring
• Med-Surg nursing and post-surgical care
• Reading cardiac monitors and managing cardiac drips
• Adult and geriatric patient care expertise
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS clinical application
• Cerner EMR proficiency
• Patient/CNA supervision and teamwork
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
