Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to keep patients safe and stable
• Perform thorough patient assessments and deliver high-quality med-surg nursing care
• Float between med-surg specialty units, adapting quickly to patient needs and unit workflows
• Document patient status, interventions and responses accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Maintain required certifications, complete Trinity competency testing and uphold facility policies
• Support patient and family education with compassion and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active RN license (license/certificate verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS required; TNCC and NIHSS required as listed
• Experience or comfort with Med-Surg Telemetry and telemetry monitoring
• Ability and willingness to float to multiple med-surg specialty units, including West Lakes Campus
• Completion of facility-required health screenings and immunizations (fit test, drug screen, vaccines, PPD/IGRA, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Strong med-surg nursing assessment and clinical judgment
• Ability to manage acuity across Ortho, Neurology Step Down, Oncology and Surgical Telemetry
• Comfort with float pool dynamics and adapting to changing unit needs
• Familiarity with competency testing and skills checklist processes
