Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT scans with attention to image quality and patient safety
• Operate and optimize CT equipment while following established protocols
• Assess patient history and ensure proper identification and preparation
• Apply radiation safety principles and adhere to ALARA practices
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the care team to support timely diagnoses
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging records in compliance with policies
• Complete required checklists, competency exams, and documentation
• Report equipment issues and participate in routine maintenance checks

Qualifications

• CT Certificate (AART) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications listed as required
• Valid Driver's License with photo identification
• Successful background check, drug screen, and fit testing as required
• Up-to-date immunizations and health records (COVID-19, TB, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Tdap)
• Completion of agency checklist items including Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist
• License/certificate verification and documentation on file

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) and CT Certificate (AART)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and patient positioning
• Understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Ability to follow standardized competency exams and checklists
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and image quality
• Effective communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Comfort working with electronic medical records and imaging systems
