Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
Communicate patient status, diagnostic results and clinical concerns to physicians and the care team
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge plans
Document care thoroughly and maintain standards of care on the Telemetry Unit
Guide and support other nursing personnel and help maintain a safe, collaborative environment

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring
Ventilator management experience preferred
NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications noted in job credentials
Basic rhythm interpretation competency (Prime screening/checklist)
COVID-19 vaccination documented per facility health requirements
Willingness to complete required facility onboarding checks (drug screen, TB, fit test, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning
Telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
Patient education and family communication
Implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions
Basic rhythm interpretation
Ventilator management (preferred)
NIHSS and DCI/BVP knowledge for stroke and vascular care
