Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered emergency nursing care following ANA standards
• Perform timely and accurate patient assessments to identify urgent needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and interventions
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans as needed for best outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient transfers and dispositions
• Use EPIC effectively to document care, communicate with team members, and support continuity of care
• Assist with patient lifting, transfers, and safe transport by wheelchair or stretcher

Qualifications

• Active RI Registered Nurse license required
• Emergency Medicine experience required
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
• EPIC proficiency required
• Ability to perform patient lifting and transfers safely
• English proficiency required
• Compliance with COVID and influenza vaccination requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and triage skills in the emergency setting
• Care planning, intervention, and evaluation aligned with ANA standards
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record
• Competency in basic EKG interpretation and pharmacology principles
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and the care team
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
