Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to individuals in the MST program
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document clinical findings accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate mental health and medical services
• Support crisis intervention and provide trauma-informed care during high-acuity moments
• Educate patients and families about coping strategies, resources, and follow-up care
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional, ethical standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state of California
• Experience working with Military Sexual Trauma (MST) populations preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Comfortable with overnight/long shifts and handling urgent clinical situations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Ability to complete required background checks and onboarding paperwork

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Relevant continuing education or certifications in mental health or trauma care encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Trauma-informed care principles and best practices
• Assessment and triage skills in mental health and medical settings
• Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
• Crisis de-escalation techniques and safety planning
• Familiarity with community resources and referral pathways
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems and timely charting
