Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ventilator settings, and advanced monitoring devices
• Administer medications and titrate drips safely according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to develop and execute care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate patient status changes clearly and promptly
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain unit standards
• Support safe patient handoffs and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be eligible to practice in Illinois)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen, fit test, and required immunizations/health screenings
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced ICU environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and ICU-level patient management
• Ventilator management and airway support fundamentals
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting advanced cardiac/pressure waveforms
• Medication administration and infusion pump competency
• Experience with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Team communication, escalation of care, and effective handoff processes
