Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
• Support safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall-prevention measures
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Assist with mealtime needs and ensure residents’ comfort and dignity
• Follow facility infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• Valid state authorization to practice in West Virginia (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and resident-centered approach
• Safe lifting and transfer techniques
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, feeding assistance
• Good communication and teamwork skills with nursing staff and families
• Attention to detail for charting and following care plans
• Adaptability in a fast-paced long-term care environment
