Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert emergency nursing care in a busy ED environment
• Rapidly assess and triage patients, prioritizing life-saving interventions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary trauma teams for Level 1 and Level 2 activations
• Administer and monitor advanced cardiac life support interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete specialty competency checklists
• Participate in mandatory skills testing and certification maintenance

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Connecticut (license verification required)
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and ENPC or PALS required
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (Tdap, COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, influenza, varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA)

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department (ED) nursing expertise and trauma care proficiency
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making skills
• Competence with trauma protocols and activation processes
• Ability to perform under pressure and collaborate with trauma teams
• Familiarity with specialty competency testing and documentation requirements
