Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care in the urgent care ambulatory setting, collaborating with providers and clinic staff
• Lead and direct clinic operations when assigned, ensuring smooth flow from front desk to patient discharge
• Perform patient assessments, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing with accurate quality control
• Maintain medication inventory and supplies not on warehouse PAR system
• Document all care and services clearly and timely in the medical record
• Open and close provider clinics, ensuring a safe and stocked environment
• Assist providers and anticipate needs to promote efficient, compassionate patient care
• Adhere to infection control policies, participate in in-services, and maintain annual competencies
• Report defective equipment or safety hazards and escalate unresolved issues appropriately
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative clinic culture

Qualifications

• Active, full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska required at time of submittal
• Urgent care experience within the last 2 years is required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proof of flu vaccine required
• Ability to multi-task, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and be a collaborative team player
• Willingness to teach and mentor when appropriate and to ask for help with new or challenging situations
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Agency/contract staff must be able to complete fingerprinting for SEARHC processing; start date will be no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Registered Nursing license in Alaska (RN)
