Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients with compassion and clinical expertise
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe discharge

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credentials (active and in good standing)
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing (Med/Surg) - clinical comfort with common Med/Surg diagnoses and treatments
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS or other certifications a plus depending on unit needs
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shift patterns and collaborate effectively with the care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg patient care principles and protocols
• Proficiency with patient charting and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and organizational skills to manage a full patient assignment
