Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, arterial and venous duplex exams with high-quality Doppler imaging
• Perform adult echocardiography including transthoracic studies, contrast echo, and treadmill stress echocardiograms with accuracy and speed
• Operate portable ultrasound units and PACS/GE imaging systems to capture, document and archive studies
• Chart thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure clear, timely patient records
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and paracentesis as required
• Provide patient-focused care across settings including ED, ICU, obstetrics and pediatrics
• Serve as a knowledgeable team player and assist with precepting clinicians when needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant ultrasound experience (echo and vascular experience required)
• Must be fully proficient in adult echocardiography (including contrast and treadmill stress echo) — echo skills are a hard-stop requirement
• Proven vascular ultrasound and duplex experience required
• Experience charting in Epic required
• Certifications preferred: ARDMS, RVT, RDCS, CCI; BLS is listed among desired credentials
• Comfortable working in a short-term acute care, level IV trauma setting with varied patient ages from neonates to geriatrics

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on skills with Doppler, duplex and M-mode imaging
• Familiarity with GE ultrasound systems and PACS workflow
• General ultrasound skills including OB/GYN, breast, transvaginal and small parts exams
• Ability to perform portable exams and adapt to emergent settings (ED/ICU)
• Solid infection control and PPE practices
• Procedural assistance skills for ultrasound-guided biopsy and paracentesis
