Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the unit day-to-day to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care
• Coordinate staffing, assignments, and patient flow while supporting your clinical team
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to drive care plans and improve outcomes
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff to strengthen clinical skills and morale
• Monitor quality, compliance, and safety standards and take action to improve them
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and leadership to ensure excellent experiences

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in Maine or compact license as applicable)
• Experience in unit management or leadership roles; strong supervisory skills
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred
• Demonstrated clinical judgment and ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Unit management and staff scheduling best practices
• Clinical assessment, triage, and patient care coordination
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
• Regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety principles
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
