Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents and patients
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Monitor and report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Help create a comfortable, dignified environment that promotes independence
• Communicate respectfully with families and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) — you know your scope and can hit the floor running
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable transportation for per diem shift attendance

Education

• GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care needs
• Familiarity with infection control and standard safety protocols
• Comfortable with documentation and communicating observations clearly
• Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced care environment
• Respectful interpersonal skills and sensitivity to geriatric needs
