Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents following care plans and facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the medical record
• Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to the care team to ensure safety
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (New Mexico license preferred or compact where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable working night shifts and providing hands-on resident care
• Previous long-term care or med-surg experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads are welcome

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma, certificate, or equivalent from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Knowledge of documentation best practices and electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with residents and interdisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety protocols
