Location: Council Bluffs, Iowa

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (NOC), every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to ICU patients with complex medical conditions
Manage and titrate vasoactive drips and sedatives to maintain hemodynamic stability
Monitor and support patients on ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes
Respond to emergencies including sepsis, stroke, MI, and respiratory failure
Float to PCU as needed to support the unit

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
Previous travel experience a plus but not required
Must be comfortable with drips, vents, and BiPAP
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred
Ability to pass a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing, including sepsis management and stroke care
Proficiency in titrating vasopressors (levophed, neosynephrine, cardene) and sedatives (precedex, propofol)
Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
Excellent teamwork and communication skills for a fast-paced environment
