Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor and assess patient condition, recognizing and responding to changes quickly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per orders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment, including ventilators and monitors
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Document patient care and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Advocate for patient safety and quality improvements on the unit

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) strongly preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and IV medication administration
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must meet facility requirements for immunizations and background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and intervention skills
• Familiarity with ventilators, arterial lines, central venous catheters, and advanced monitoring
• Medication administration and titration in ICU settings
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and clear clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound clinical judgments under pressure
• Empathetic patient and family communication and education skills
