Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate critical care to ICU patients in a trauma/burn/surgical setting
• Manage ventilators and advanced critical care equipment to support patient stability
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop timely, safety-focused nursing interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate complex care plans and rapid responses
• Execute unit procedures such as wound care, EVD management, and massive transfusion protocols (MTP)
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and teammates to ensure continuity of care
• Document care accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and escalate changes in condition promptly

Qualifications

• Current RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (explicitly listed in the job data)
• Experience in Trauma ICU, Burn ICU or Surgical ICU (must-have)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills (must-have)
• BSN and CCRN (preferred)
• Comfortable working with critical care technology and high-acuity patient ratios

Education

• Nursing degree and RN licensure required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Ventilator management and patient respiratory support
• Meditech EMR documentation experience
• Wound care, EVDs and massive transfusion protocol familiarity
• Patient assessment and ICU-level monitoring
• Team-based approach and strong situational awareness
