Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and sterile field for a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and equipment are ready and functional
• Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs during cases and passing instruments with precision and safety
• Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards in all procedures
• Document case details accurately in the Meditech EMR and support efficient patient flow through the OR and endoscopy suites
• Participate in team briefings and debriefings to promote communication and continuous improvement
• Support cross-coverage between Surgery and Endoscopy units as needed and help with timely turnover between cases
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with nurses, anesthesia techs, and other OR staff

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification preferred/required as specified by facility
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the operating room (must-have per job profile)
• BLS certification required
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Experience with endoscopy, neuro, vascular, or advanced procedures is highly desirable
• Flexible team player with the ability to handle on-call and holiday coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Surgical Technology and OR workflow expertise
• Meditech EMR proficiency for accurate documentation
• Endoscopy suite experience and equipment familiarity
• Comfort with neuro, ECRP, vascular, and a range of advanced procedures
• Strong sterile technique, instrument handling, and turnover skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced surgical environments
