Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Cost Accounting system to produce accurate monthly service line and physician practice P&L statements and scorecards.
• Lead the Decision Support function in support of strategic and financial planning projects, providing actionable insights to executive leadership.
• Develop STRATA-based financial feasibility, cost and reimbursement templates that evaluate ROI, payback period, NPV, IRR and other capital project metrics.
• Oversee productivity reporting and produce regulatory and ratings-agency reports (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA) and other external reporting requirements.
• Validate cost structure updates, analyze variances to budget, and partner with service line leaders to design performance improvement plans.
• Review and support feasibility studies, STRATA rolling forecast implementation and maintenance, and ad hoc reporting requests for audits and cost reports.
• Mentor and provide oversight to the decision support supervisor and special projects analyst, and support software implementations (ERP, leasing software) as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support, preferably in healthcare.
• Hands-on experience with STRATA or similar financial/decision support software.
• Proven experience producing P&Ls, forecasts, financial modeling and executive-level reporting.
• Experience with hospital contracting/reimbursement, bundled payments and physician reimbursement is preferred.
• Master's degree (MBA or Health Administration) and financial or healthcare certifications are preferred but not required.

• Cost accounting and service line profitability analysis
• Financial forecasting, modeling and P&L preparation
• STRATA financial software expertise or similar tools
• Reporting for ratings agencies and external stakeholders
• Budgeting, decision support and productivity systems
• Familiarity with ERP implementations and leasing software
• Knowledge of physician reimbursement, bundled payments, and hospital contracting
