Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality radiation therapy treatments using established protocols
• Operate and optimize Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators for 2D, 3D, IMRT, SBRT and SRS treatments
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records in ARIA and ensure documentation integrity
• Provide compassionate patient care and education throughout the treatment process
• Collaborate with the oncology team to review treatment plans and ensure precise delivery
• Follow safety and quality assurance procedures to protect patients and staff
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current ARRT R.T.(T) credential required
• Able to obtain an unencumbered Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license in Radiation Therapy
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• One (1) year staff therapist experience preferred
• Comfortable working with ARIA electronic medical records and Varian TrueBeam systems

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program or equivalent training
• ARRT R.T.(T) credential (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in radiation therapy treatment delivery and patient positioning
• Experience with ARIA for treatment record maintenance and workflow
• Hands-on knowledge of Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators
• Familiarity with IMRT, SBRT, and SRS treatment techniques
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner
• Attention to detail for accurate treatment documentation and safety checks
