Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Provide direct patient care in the Telemetry Unit and maintain standards of care for assigned patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and communicate changes in clinical condition to physicians promptly
• Perform and document patient assessments, interventions and responses to treatment accurately
• Guide and conduct patient and family teaching to support recovery and self-care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and direct activities of other nursing personnel when assigned
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and emergent situations

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications listed in requirements
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred per facility policy
• Comfortable with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Ability to pass required screenings: drug screen, TB, fit test and other health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and continuous cardiac monitoring expertise
• Patient assessment and nursing process proficiency
• Strong patient care and clinical decision-making skills
• Patient and family teaching experience
• Rhythm interpretation and basic ECG knowledge
• Familiarity with ventilator management concepts (preferred)
• Experience with acute care documentation and communication with physicians
