Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to walk-in clinic patients within the scope of LPN licensure, making a real difference every day.
Take and document vital signs promptly and accurately to inform provider decisions.
Triage patient calls and walk-ins, prioritizing care and ensuring patients get the attention they need.
Manage prescription refills and complete prior authorizations to keep patients’ treatments on track.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, clinical staff, and providers to coordinate excellent care.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team — including RNs, providers, and clinical managers — to meet patient needs.
Provide direction and oversight to CNAs and schedulers to keep clinic operations smooth and efficient.
Follow state and federal licensure and continuing education standards to maintain safe, compliant practice.

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
Comfortable triaging patients, handling vital signs, and managing medication/prescription tasks
Experience with prior authorizations and working alongside providers, RNs, and clinical managers
Able to provide direction to CNAs and coordinate with schedulers

Patient care and bedside skills
Taking and interpreting vital signs
Triage assessment and prioritization
Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures
Medication/prescription handling and refill workflows
Prior authorization processes
Strong patient liaison and communication skills
Interdisciplinary team collaboration and supervision of support staff
