Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Weekends and holidays, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, Night shift, Call required (no block scheduling)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for trauma and acute cases
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety, sterile technique, and smooth case flow
Triage and manage level 1 trauma patients with confidence and rapid clinical decision-making
Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies for patient care and infection control
Participate in call rotations and respond promptly to emergent operative needs
Mentor and support colleagues, contributing to a high-performing OR environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of Georgia (or compact state privileges as applicable)
Operating Room (OR) nursing experience required
Level 1 trauma experience required
High skills checklist rating — demonstrated competency in core OR skills
Previous travel experience required (preferred for this role)
Burn experience preferred
BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred or completed within facility timelines

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in perioperative care and sterile technique
Experience managing high-acuity trauma cases
Proficiency with OR equipment, instrumentation, and case setup
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in fast-paced surgical environments
Ability to function independently on night shifts and during call situations
