Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cardiovascular critical care for CVICU patients, including post-CABG and complex cardiac cases
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway needs with confidence
• Perform invasive hemodynamic monitoring and interpret Swan Ganz catheter data
• Care for patients with arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes and other advanced devices
• Support CRRT and Impella patients when required, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes clearly to the team
• Advocate for patients and families while contributing to a collaborative, team-based care model

Qualifications

• RN (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or other critical care specialty)
• Proven ventilator experience and competence with art/central line and chest tube management
• Experience or comfort with CVICU-specific care, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella is a strong plus
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and/or CCRN preferred but not strictly required

Education

• RN required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Hands-on skills with ventilator management and advanced cardiac devices
• Familiarity with CRRT, Swan Ganz, Impella and related equipment
• Comfort with a 2:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity CVICU environment
• Effective communication, teamwork, and ability to work collaboratively under pressure
• Accurate clinical documentation and comfort using Meditech EMR
