Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction and guidance to hospital staff on policies, procedures, and best practices
• Manage patient flow by assigning nursing resources, solving operational problems, and coordinating with charge nurses
• Organize workflow and ensure staff understand assigned duties and delegated tasks
• Monitor staff productivity, deliver constructive feedback, and coach for performance improvement
• Handle patient and family concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
• Make supervisory and administrative decisions in collaboration with clinical leaders and the CNO
• Serve as a liaison between clinical and non-clinical teams to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana
• Minimum 3 years of RN hospital experience; recent ICU experience preferred
• CPR required
• ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Proven experience with ventilator support, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, IV pumps, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience caring for patients across the lifespan (infants to geriatrics)
• Demonstrated leadership experience (resource nurse or nurse leadership roles preferred)

Education

• Degree from a Nursing Program

• Advanced nursing principles and post-operative care
• Strong cardiac monitoring skills
• Clinical supervision and nurse leadership abilities
• Excellent critical thinking and independent decision-making
• Comfort with advanced medical equipment and multiple IV pumps
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation
• Ability to initiate and manage special projects and handle a busy workload
