Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to spinal, neuro, trauma and surgical patients
Respond quickly and effectively during trauma activations and emergent situations
Coordinate patient handoffs with ED and admitting nurses to ensure seamless transitions
Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
Mentor and collaborate with nursing support techs and ancillary staff to optimize patient care
Manage patient assignments at a 5:1 ratio while maintaining safety and quality
Perform focused assessments, medication administration, and timely interventions for critically ill patients

Qualifications

BLS required
ACLS preferred
EPIC experience required
Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (high acuity/trauma/neuro/surgical)
Comfortable managing high-acuity patient populations including spinal cord injuries, quads, paraplegics, and gunshot trauma
Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in unit handoffs

Knowledge & Skills

High acuity nursing and trauma care expertise
Neuro and spinal cord injury patient management
Surgical and post-op nursing knowledge
Proficiency with EPIC documentation and workflows
Experience working with support staff like phlebotomists and unit secretaries
Strong clinical assessment, triage, and emergency response skills
