Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medications accurately and confidently to keep patients safe and care moving
• Provide vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring to support optimal therapy
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, including oversight of Pyxis and first-dose processes
• Oversee sterile compounding workflows and use Dose Edge for verification of IV preparations
• Respond to emergency medication needs and manage emergency med boxes with urgency and precision
• Consult on pain management plans and collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) (required)
• Minimum ~2 years of relevant pharmacy experience (as noted in the hiring profile)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience preferred

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Dose Edge, Pak Edge and Pyxis medication systems
• Experience with Meditech EMR workflows
• Strong medication verification and sterile compounding knowledge
• Clinical dosing expertise: vancomycin, aminoglycosides, anticoagulants
• Ability to supervise technicians and manage decentralized inpatient pharmacy operations
• Familiarity with first-dose checks, emergency medication processes, and pain consults
