Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a Level 3 Trauma Center with speed and compassion
• Lead and participate in resuscitations and trauma interventions in resuscitation bays
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients across adult and pediatric populations
• Administer medications and advanced treatments safely and document care thoroughly
• Coordinate with EMS, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams for seamless patient transitions
• Provide family-centered education and support during critical moments
• Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California preferred/required)
• Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• ENPC preferred
• Experience in trauma nursing and strong knowledge of the pediatric population
• Comfortable working 12-hour evening and night shifts in a high-volume ED (100+ daily volume)
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Trauma assessment and resuscitation skills
• Pediatric emergency care and family-centered practices
• Cardiac and stroke recognition (STEMI/Stroke receiving center experience helpful)
• Familiarity with emergency department workflows and resuscitation bay management
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
