Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift (primarily); exact times vary. Will require flexibility to work mid shifts and participate in Open Heart call as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Bill Rate: $50,000 sign-on bonus

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for open-heart surgical patients in the CVOR
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the perioperative team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes
Maintain sterile technique, patient safety, and equipment readiness during cardiac procedures
Participate in call rotation and respond professionally to emergent surgical needs
Support unit growth and mentorship through participation in the Clinical Ladder and team development activities

Qualifications

Current RN licensure required
Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
Cardiac Open-Heart experience required
BSN preferred — candidates committing to obtain BSN within three years of hire will be considered
Willingness to work day shifts primarily, with flexibility for mid-shifts and call coverage

Education

BSN preferred; commitment to obtain BSN within three years may be accepted
Current RN licensure (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Perioperative and cardiac surgical nursing expertise (CVOR focus)
Strong patient advocacy and bedside care skills
Ability to function effectively in high-acuity surgical teams
Adaptability for shift flexibility and on-call responsibilities
Clear communication and collaboration skills
