Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care for spinal, neuro, trauma, and surgical patients
• Respond rapidly and effectively to trauma and surgical emergencies
• Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation, orders, and patient communication
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge needs, and follow-up
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and contribute to a culture of safety

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with Nursys verification required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (neuro/spinal, trauma, surgical, or high-acuity care)
• EPIC experience required; please note EPIC on your profile
• Candidate profile must include work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, and certification card
• Badge-appropriate photo and complete demographic profile required

Knowledge & Skills

• High acuity care and critical thinking under pressure
• Trauma management and surgical patient care
• Neuro and spinal patient assessment and interventions
• Experience with EPIC charting and clinical workflows
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Familiarity with care of gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, paraplegia, and complex surgical trauma
