Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with acute conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated treatment plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois or eligibility for Illinois licensure (Compact licensure may apply)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred for ER roles
• Clinical experience in emergency or acute care settings preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and team communication skills
• Ability to function effectively under pressure and adapt to changing patient volumes

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills with quick, accurate decision-making
• Familiarity with emergency procedures, wound care, and IV therapy
• Comfortable using EHR systems and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Strong time management and prioritization in high-acuity settings
