Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to clinic patients following established standards and practices
Assist providers and staff in coordinating patient care and act as the primary liaison between patients, staff and providers
Perform and interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms, escalating concerns as needed
Administer cardiac medications and support cardiac procedures per protocols
Document patient encounters clearly and communicate care plans to patients and team members
Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, medications and follow-up care

Qualifications

MT Registered Nurse licensure (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
Basic coronary class required
At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
Strong patient communication skills and ability to function as a care coordinator

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and understanding of cardiac arrhythmias
Familiarity with cardiac medications and common cardiac procedures
Patient care coordination and clinical documentation
Medical terminology and basic nursing principles and procedures
Basic keyboarding and office skills
