Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality physical therapy treatments in accordance with individualized treatment plans
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner using the facility EMR
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Oversee compliance and documentation standards for your current caseload
• Adapt care and prioritize safety across a mixed caseload including orthopedics, neuro, and critical care

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school approved by CAPTE
• Current Maryland state licensure or eligibility in Physical Therapy (must be able to obtain licensure)
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
• At least 1 year of hospital acute experience preferred; new graduates with strong acute clinical rotations are welcome
• Demonstrated EMR documentation experience
• Strong communication, time management, flexibility, and teamwork abilities

Education

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by CAPTE

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and strong patient education skills
• Accurate clinical documentation and EMR proficiency
• Experience treating orthopedics, neurological conditions, and critical care patients
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork communication
• Ability to manage time and prioritize in a fast-paced acute hospital setting
• Leadership skills and a commitment to continuous learning
