Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory status and develop individualized care plans
- Administer respiratory therapies and medications safely and effectively
- Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment with confidence
- Monitor patient response and adjust treatments in collaboration with the care team
- Provide patient and family education to promote respiratory health and recovery
- Document care accurately in the medical record and communicate changes promptly
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license for New Jersey (or eligible to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or advanced certifications are a plus
- Previous experience in respiratory care or acute care settings preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
Education
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree or equivalent preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical knowledge of respiratory assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Familiarity with ventilator management and airway support
- Skilled in oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and pulmonary hygiene
- Comfortable with patient education and family communication
- Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Adherence to infection control and safety protocols
