Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Support safe mobility and transfer patients with proper technique
• Take and document vital signs accurately and timely
• Assist nursing team with patient hygiene, feeding, and comfort needs
• Communicate observations and changes in patient status to the nursing staff
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build rapport with patients and families to promote dignity and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in New Mexico
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and standing for extended periods
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and state certification

• Basic nursing care and patient hygiene
• Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Clear documentation and effective communication with clinical teams
• Teamwork, time management, and patient-centered care
