Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients according to plan
- Assess patients and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record with clarity
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
- Support patient and family education to promote positive outcomes
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential (as listed)
- Current state licensure (New Mexico) or eligibility to practice in New Mexico
- Per diem availability and flexibility to cover shifts as needed
- Facility-required certifications (for example, Basic Life Support) as applicable
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Medication administration and charting accuracy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
- Basic wound care, IV/med administration knowledge (as applicable to role)
