Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the assigned area
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and teammates
- Monitor patient status and escalate changes promptly to the appropriate provider
- Support discharge planning and patient education to promote positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical setting and adapting to per-diem assignments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current basic certifications as required by facility policy (CPR/BLS preferred)
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered attitude
Education
- LPN diploma or practical nursing certificate (or equivalent program completion)
- For RN roles referenced in the posting, Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing would apply
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Solid patient assessment and documentation practices
- Ability to follow care plans and physician orders accurately
- Good time management and prioritization during longer shifts
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
