Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate overnight nursing care to adult patients
- Assess patient condition and communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely charting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support recovery
- Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous acute care or rehab nursing experience preferred
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to variable schedules
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
Education
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Diploma) and RN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring best practices
- Medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
- Infection control and safety-conscious clinical care
- Prioritization and time management during busy overnight shifts
- Compassionate patient- and family-centered communication
