Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for rehab and acute patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain clear, timely documentation
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and independence
• Monitor patient status and escalate concerns promptly to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Comfortable working in a rehab/acute care environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass background check and workplace-required screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or RN associate/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic rehab care principles and mobility support
• Electronic health record (EHR) navigation and accurate charting
• Time management and prioritization during longer day shifts
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and care coordination
