Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a rehabilitation setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
- Assess patients, monitor progress, and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary staff to support patient recovery goals
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control policies
- Build rapport with patients and families to encourage engagement in care plans
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Comfortable with medication administration, documentation, and patient assessments
- Ability to work per diem day shifts and adapt to variable schedules
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- LPN: Practical nursing diploma or certificate
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assessment and clinical judgment
- Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
- Basic wound care and mobility assistance in a rehab environment
- Team collaboration with therapists and support staff
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
