Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Help with safe transfers and positioning to support mobility and prevent injury
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly during handoffs
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Build respectful, trusting relationships with residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — state certification required or ability to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfortable with patient lifting/transfers and basic mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Infection prevention and proper use of PPE
• Safe transfer and body mechanics techniques
• Observation skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nurses and therapists
