Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans that help patients regain function and independence
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions — therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training and more — with compassion and clinical confidence
• Monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other rehab team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and long-term recovery strategies
• Promote a safe healing environment by following infection control and safety best practices

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Mississippi OR eligible to obtain MS licensure
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in outpatient, skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work the listed schedule (Monday–Friday, daytime) and complete required documentation

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy or equivalent credentials accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal and functional mobility assessments
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
• Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and gait training
• Strong documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Knowledge of fall prevention, adaptive equipment and patient safety principles
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers in plain, encouraging language
