Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day); weekends as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, client-centered occupational therapy services under the supervision of the occupational therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' independence in activities of daily living
- Perform therapeutic activities, adaptive equipment training, and functional assessments
- Document progress, communicate clinical findings, and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy colleagues, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to maximize independence and safety
- Assist with equipment recommendations, transfers, mobility and safety training
- Contribute to a positive, safety-focused environment and support facility goals
Qualifications
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential — required
- State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in West Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working Monday–Friday daytime schedule with occasional weekend coverage
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset with empathy and a desire to make a measurable difference
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program; COTA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in therapeutic techniques for ADLs, transfers, and adaptive equipment
- Skilled in patient assessment, activity grading, and progress measurement
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Ability to teach and coach patients and caregivers effectively
- Good clinical judgment, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative approach to working within an interdisciplinary team
