Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Uptown Health/Rehab area
• Perform timely patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain clear electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals and discharge planning
• Support rehabilitation-focused interventions to help patients regain function
• Educate patients and families on care plans, safety, and ongoing needs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico (or compact license where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Comfortable working in rehab and general medical settings
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (diploma acceptable for some RN hires)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring with attention to rehab goals
• Medication administration and IV/SC/IM familiarity as required by role
• Electronic health record documentation and charting accuracy
• Basic wound care, mobility assistance, and ADL support knowledge
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical colleagues
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced per diem environment
