Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' functional abilities and occupational needs using evidence-based tools
- Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on meaningful daily activities
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve independence
- Train patients and families on adaptive techniques and use of assistive devices
- Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and the care team to coordinate holistic care
- Document evaluations, treatment plans and progress in the medical record accurately and timely
- Monitor outcomes, modify plans as needed, and contribute to discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement and maintain safety and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or eligible for state licensure
- NBCOT certification preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in inpatient rehab or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and patient-centered approach
- Able to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) — entry-level or advanced degree (e.g., BS/BSOT, MSOT, OTD)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of standardized OT assessments and documentation best practices
- Skilled in therapeutic activities, ADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
- Excellent communication and patient/family education skills
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Familiarity with safety, infection control, and rehab protocols in a healthcare setting
