Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
- Assess patient condition and respond promptly to changes in status
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care, interventions, and responses in the electronic record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals
- Support patient and family education with clarity and empathy
- Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Current, active RN or LPN license (New Mexico or compact licensure where applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
- Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on a per diem basis
- Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Previous acute care nursing experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads may be considered
Education
- LPN: Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and triage skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Vital sign monitoring and basic wound care
- Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Teamwork and clear communication across shifts
