Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab to support excellent patient outcomes
• Assess and monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry, and act promptly on abnormalities
• Assist interventional cardiology teams during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety
• Respond efficiently to on-call activations, including weekend coverage as required
• Document assessments, interventions, and procedure details accurately in the patient record
• Participate in competency validation and specialty exams to maintain clinical excellence
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Cath Lab nursing experience and comfort working in interventional cardiology settings
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications as listed
• Successful completion of Prime rhythm interpretation screening, core competencies, skills checklist and specialty exam
• Ability to pass required pre-employment health checks (drug screen, immunizations, TB/CXR, fit test, etc.)
• Willingness to work a traveler schedule and fulfill the 10 days/month on-call requirement (including required weekend coverage)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with cath lab equipment, sterile techniques, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient in ACLS protocols and emergency response
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic health record use
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity procedural settings
• Ability to maintain composure and prioritize during emergent situations
