Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC; weekends as required; on-call at least twice/month

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient respiratory outcomes and adjust the plan of care as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clear, compassionate education and instructions to patients and caregivers about respiratory disease, treatments, and discharge plans
- Deliver respiratory care interventions ordered by physicians while maintaining strong communication with medical and nursing staff
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care therapies
- Serve as a clinical role model by sharing knowledge with staff and students and participating in precepting
- Accept reassignment to other units as needed to support patient care and operational needs
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- Illinois respiratory license required
- BLS certification required
- NRP-MHC certification required
- Associate's degree required
- Comfortable working night shifts, weekends as required, and participating in on-call rotation
Education
- Associate's degree required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong respiratory care fundamentals and hands-on patient care
- Patient education and the ability to explain procedures clearly
- Care planning and assessing effectiveness of respiratory interventions
- Effective multidisciplinary team communication
- Clinical teaching and precepting skills to mentor others
- Ability to accept unit reassignment and adapt to changing needs
